Abstract: Morphological and ecological investigation were made of Tropidia nipponica,which is distributed in Taiwan of China and Ryukyu Islands of Japan and now reported from Malipo of Southeast Yunnan.As a newly recorded orchid in mainland China,its phytogeographical significance is discussed.
