GC-MS Analysis of Linolenic Acid and Linoleic Acid in Chinese Trichosanthes kirilowii Oil

The paper deals with how hot-rolled and cold-rolled Chinese trichosanthes oil are firstly pretreated through saponified method and urine packaging method.Then the content of both linolenic acid and linoleic acid can be analyzed by the use of gas chromatography/mass spectrum(GC-MS).The purpose is to analyze the contents of linolenic acid and linoleic acid in Chinese trichosanthes oil.In hot-rolled Chinese trichosanthes oil,the contents of linolenic and Linoleic acid are 4.16%-11.58% and 68.62%-95.84% respectively while there is no linoleic acid in cold rolled trichosanthes oil.In conclusion,GC-MS analysis of can be applied to the composition of in Chinese trichosanthes oil.
