  • There are 132 terrestrial bryophyte species (including six varieties) in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, which belonging to 26 families, 68 genera. The coverages of the main terrestrial bryophyte species, together with the seven environmental variables in 30 sites were investigated. The data were analyzed by the method of Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA). The relationships between the bryophytes species and the environmental variables were revealed in the biplots of CCA, the ecological characteristics of the main species were also discussed. According to the correlation coefficients of the environmental variables with the first two axes, the environmental variables that influenced the distribution of the main species were canopy density, soil water content, traffic frequency, herb coverage, soil layer depth and soil loose grade.
