  • There are 214 species (including varieties)of vascular plants in the Castanopsis communities in Jinggang Mountain Nature Reserve, belonging to 75 families and 132 genera,in which the pteridophyte account for 14 families,19 genera and 24 species, the gymnosperm for 3 families,4 genera and 4 species, and the angiosperm for 58 families,109 genera and 186 species. The floristic analysis shows that the flora possess some species originated before Quaterary, the geographical composition of the flora is complex, the tropical and sub-tropical components take a big part of the whole vascular plants, there are also some temperate-originated species, many rare and endangered plants and endemic plants were found. The Castanopsis plants are dominant in the vegetation, the companion species in tree layer mainly are plants of Magnoliaceae,Lauraceae,Camelliaceae which are evergreen, the shrub found in the community are chiefly Eurya japonica,Maesa japonica,Sarcandra glabra,Garcinia multiflora.Lophatherum gracile,Carex doniana,Woodwardia japonica,Dryopteris atrata dominated the whole herb layer.
