  • The two 93029# and 906# wheat varieties have different abilities of salt tolerance, the former has much lower salt tolerance ability than the latter. The results indicated that the membrane permeability, the MDA content and the H2O2 level increased; but the activity of POD decreased in the root cells of 93029# variety seedling under salt stress, in contrast, the four traits have no obvious change in906# variety. These results suggest that the salt tolerance ability is directly related to the accumulation of H2O2 in wheat seedlings roots.
