  • Zizania caduciflora is a perennial aquatic plant, and a native special vegetable in China. In this paper the growth,development, yield and quility of the crop were reported. The following good shape and properties appeared in experimental process were also reported : (1)The variety doesn't nearly form products with black spots. (2)The time of producing yield is very long (about 4~5 months ). (3) It has very strong function pregnant with shoots. (4)This kind of plant can adapted the climate of Washington Region very well. Finally, the auther holds that the Washington Region is a suitable place for producing wild rice shoots.
