Abstract
On the basis of being taken the sample stands as resource status, the niches of 16 main tree populations on Yuanbaoshan Mountain,Guangxi Province were analyzed by quantitative methods. The results showed that Acer maximowiczii has the biggest niche breadth, its value was 4.7094 .The niche breadths of Abies yuanbaoshanensis,Taxus chinensis var.mairei,Illicium majus and Listea pedunculata were larger, which value were 4.5830, 4.3587, 3.9660, 3.5843 respectively. While Eurya loquaiana and Enkianthus had smaller niche breadth. The niche overlaps between Abies yuanbaoshanensis and most of other trees in the community were smaller, and which may be one of the reasons that Abies yuanbaoshanensis and other tree populations could coexist persistently. The niche similarities between most of tree populations in Abies yuanbaoshanensis community were much greater, showing that the main tree populations in Abies yuanbaoshanensis community had greater resource-sharing degree. The results of this paper could provide the basis for studying community structure, succession and relations of intraspecific in further, and be available to the Abies yuanbaoshanensis protection.
