Abstract:
Callus lines of A
11B
2 and A
16N
1 were selected from cotyledon cultures on B
5 and NN-69 media containing 1mg/L 2,4-D, respectively. When protoplasts isolated from callus line A
11B
2 were cultured on the modified B
5 medium, cell division was arrested at the stage of cell clusters. However, when protoplasts isolated from callus line A
16N
1 were cultured on the modified NN-69 medium, they had divided to form cell groups, then developed into callus, from which plants were regenerated by the method of the stepwise induction of organgenesis.
