Abstract:
The pollen grains of 5 species and 4 varieties belonging to the genus
Actinidia have been examined by light microscope (LM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). They are shapes of prolate, subprolate, spheroidal and oblate, size ranging from 17.62×14.96μm to 28.10×20.53μm, and have aperture of tricolporate or tricolporoidate; And exine ornamentation has four types, namely, rugulae with fine striae, irregularly tuberculate, fossulate or perforate and regularly tuberculate. The characters of the pollen grains in
Actinidia mentioned above can be allow to be evidences for the identification of individual species and varieties. An evolution character of pollen morphology is discussed in the paper.
