Abstract:
The morphological character and biomass were investigated in one-year-old
Kandelia candel seedlings cultivated in sand beds and irrigated with natural sea-water.The results show that some quantitative indices such as plant height, stem height, basal diameter, root height, root length and leaf area and biomass of root, hypocotyl, stem, leaf and whole plant show a pattern of their arithmetic mean>median>median of mode interval, which accords with positive deviate distribution. The arithmetic mean of some enumerative indices such as numbers of node and leaf of the seedlings equals to their median, both of which are equal to or larger than the median of mode interval.Based on the data obtained, 22 regressive models in the morphological factors and biomass of the seedlings are set up using linear regression, multilinear regression, power function and exponential function.
