Abstract: This paper expounds the standards, methods and ptocedures of the selection and breeding among fine strains in walnut. The main economical characteristics of 3 fine strains selected (A 85, Yulin land Songxian 1) are ideal according to the selective standards. The average rate of kernels is 54%. The oil content in kernels is above 72%. Their yields are 1.3—1.7 times higher than the comparison strains. These fine strains have now been popularized and applied to production.
