Abstract:
The corms in
Sagittaria pygmaea is a form of vegetative reproduction and this species also produces seeds. The dynamics of biomass and length was studied. The results show that the biomass of corm shoots is far larger than seed shoots at the beginning of growth. The growth rate of seed shoots is higher than corm shoots. They hold the approximately same biomass in the end.The dynamics of length of
S.pygmaea seed shoots and corm shoots can be described with equation. The increasing of length is slower at the end of growth than at the beginning.
