Abstract:
Influences of basic media,protoplast density,and ABA concentration on somatic embryogenesis of loblolly pine were studied. The results show that DCR medium is in favor of the formation of somatic embryos from protoplasts. And the optimum protoplast density and ABA concentration for somatic embryogenesis are 7 ×10
4/mL and4 mg/L, respectively. The microscopical observation showed that embryonal suspensor masses developed firstly into early stage proembryos,then into late stage proembryos.These results lay the foundation of plantlet regeneration from protoplast of loblollypine.
