Abstract:
Based on a comprehensive botanical survey conducted in key border regions of the Xizang Autonomous Region, China, two angiosperms,
Echinops cornigerus DC. (Asteraceae) and
Euphrasia himalayica Wettst. (Orobanchaceae), were documented as newly recorded species in China. Additionally, two species were newly recorded at the provincial level in Xizang, including
Leptorhabdos parviflora (Benth.) Benth. (Orobanchaceae) and
Potentilla×blanda Soják (Rosaceae), with
Leptorhabdos also representing a newly recorded genus for the region. The distribution of
Eriophyton rhomboideum (Benth.) Ryding within China was confirmed, and its known locations were revised and updated. With the exception of
L. parviflora, all species previously lacking sufficient taxonomic characterization were supplemented with revised morphological descriptions derived from examination of type specimens,
in situ observations of living plants, and review of original literature. Diagnostic images of all newly recorded and updated species are included.
