STUDIES ON THE BIODIVERSITY AND PROTECTION OF ENDEMIC GENERA OF CHINESE SEED PLANTS IN JIANGXI PROVINCE

  • Jiangxi Province is the most conspicuous area of the biodiversity of endemic genera of Chinese seed plants in eastern China, which has 56 endemic genera(including 80 species)in the province, This paper deals with the species diversity, pattern of spatial distribution, ecological and geographical characteristics and biodiversity centres of endemic genera of Chinese seed plants in the Jiangxi's vegetation, through the investigation of late years and quantitative analysis. The relationships of endemic genera of Chinese seed plants in this area with the adjacent provinces and its important position are discussed, and some practical countermeasures for protection and sustained development of the biodiversity of endemic genera are presented.
